About Integrity Construction & Remodeling
There's a reason the name of this business starts with the word "Integrity." When Jason Carter founded Integrity Construction & Remodeling in 2006, he wanted to build something simple: a contracting company where the promises made at the kitchen table actually match the work that shows up on the job site.
That's still how it works today. Jason runs every job himself. The person who walks through your home, listens to your ideas, and quotes your project is the same person you'll see on site as the work takes shape. No handoffs to a crew you've never met, no salesperson who disappears the moment the contract is signed. Just one accountable owner who stakes his reputation on every project.
What Our Customers Say
- Melly Steinert★★★★★
Integrity did some remodeling to my mom’s home and it came out beautiful and she absolutely loves it!! Chris and Jason and their team did an AMAZING JOB!! They were very patient and listened to our needs. Not only did they do great work, but three months later when my mom’s garbage disposal had a small hiccup, they came out THAT SAME DAY and fixed it!! Great people and great work!! We will definitely be using them again for our next home project!!
- Dot Kurk★★★★★
The work done for me were some renovations in my kitchen: taking down a decorative beam extending a partial wall to the ceiling new recessed lighting and laminate floors. It turned out great! The recommendation on the flooring turned out beautiful, saved money and exceeded my expectations. I have dogs and the floors really stand up to the nails. It is the second time I have worked with Chris and team and I recommend them to my friends.
- Forrest Green★★★★★
Did a bedroom extension, great turn around time. Great communication through inspection process. Decided to add a bathroom reno and they were able to make it work in just a few more weeks. Will definitely be using again.
- Wendy Bo★★★★★
Worked with this company for a new garage extension. I had no idea where to start, but Chris was able to explain the process with me in easy terms to understand. Now we have a garage and apartment above to get some extra rental income!
- Patricia Bennett★★★★★
Integrity did an amazing job on replacing my carpet with hardwood floors. The job was completed professionally and in a timely manner.

Renovating in Summerville's historic district
Downtown Summerville's older houses are protected by the town's Historic District, and any exterior change there — an addition, new windows, a porch, a demolition — needs a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Board of Architectural Review before the town will even take a building permit application. That's a step a lot of renovations stall on. Because drawings, permits and the build all run through one person here, the approval is planned into the job from the first visit rather than discovered halfway through it.

Additions in the Lowcountry flood zones
A lot of Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley county land sits in a mapped flood zone, and that changes how an addition gets built. Under Dorchester County's flood ordinance, an addition in a flood zone has to meet the same elevation rules as a brand-new house. And if a renovation costs half or more of the house's market value, federal flood rules can require the whole house to be brought up to current standards. Those are questions to answer at the estimate, not after the framing is up.

Building a new home in Flowertown in the Pines
Summerville has protected its trees since 1847, when the new town's seal read Sacra Pinus Esto — the pine is sacred. The rule is still on the books: any tree eight inches or more across needs a removal permit, and anything sixteen inches or more goes before the town's Tree Protection Board. For a new home, those removals are submitted with the building permit, so the house gets laid out around the lot's trees from the start.

Garages and slabs, built for South Carolina termites
Termites are a fact of life in the Lowcountry, and South Carolina treats them as part of the build: the soil under a new slab — a garage, an addition or a house — has to be treated before the concrete is poured, and every residential pretreat comes with a renewable warranty. It's one of the steps that has to happen in the right order, and it's scheduled into the job alongside the inspections.
